Fuji Xerox Commences Variable Information (VI) and Digital Printing Education Courses For 2003
In a move further demonstrating its strong commitment to customer education, Fuji Xerox Australia is rolling out a second business development course in April this year, expanding upon the popular ‘Profiting Through Personalisation’ courses attended by over 50 printing companies throughout 2002.
New for 2003 is ‘Profiting Through Digital’, a course specifically designed to assist customers in boosting their digital sales skills – covering everything from digital proofing, to short run ‘on demand’ colour work, digital book production and internet procurement.
“By working closely with our customers over the past five years, and by offering supporting marketing campaigns, we have been able to assist them in selling their digital printing services. The new ‘Profiting Through Digital’ is designed to augment our successful ‘Profiting through Personalisation’ course and give attendees the latest essential tools necessary to successfully sell on-demand printing in 2003,” explained Brett Maishman, Industry Marketing Manager, Graphic Arts, Fuji Xerox Australia.
The already-popular one day VI workshop ‘Profiting through Personalisation’ provides printers with an in depth knowledge of the VI workflow and marketing opportunities. Attendees receive a business development guide along with marketing collaterals and VI applications to assist in developing and promoting their own VI strategies.
“Variable information is an important strategy for our customers’ digital print businesses and is definitely a key component in the future growth of our industry. We want our customers to not only gain a really good understanding of what VI is all about, but to be able to sell VI as a powerful differentiator to their clients,” added Maishman.
The new ‘Profiting Through Digital’ course takes a broader approach, providing printers with the latest sales and technical skills to better promote the ‘on demand’ benefits associated with digital printing.
“Both of the courses really complement each other. PTP gives printers the background knowledge and understanding of the potential of the personalisation market. PTD provides printers with a solid insight into the world of digital print- empowering them to sell it,” said Maishman.
